Favorite Spot to Kayak on Biscayne Bay

As a proud owner of a kayak in Miami, I've launched from spots all over Biscayne Bay. My favorite spot so far has been Pelican Harbor in North Bay Village (79th Street Causeway). Not only does the marina provide a convenient launching point, but the spot gives you the option of traveling north, south, east and west. The south side of Pelican Harbor offers a couple of nice islands to park and walk around. The first is better than the second. The north side, however, is loaded with bigger, better, and cooler islands. The first island (the closest one to the fire/police station on the causeway) has tiki huts, lots of space, a dock, and a beach volleyball court. The second and third islands are very people friendly with easily accessible beaches and are actually connected! You can park on one island, and literally walk the trail to the next island, as illustrated in the photos I attached.
